This week I had a bit of an emotional breakdown if you will. Emotional to say the least! Tried really hard to cling to the joy I have in Christ and to remember that to Christ I am beautiful and worthy... Spent a lot of time in tears praying for the negative feelings to go away. Our church is going through "The Story". A unique look into the Bible. Today we were learning about Job. Job is an amazing man of God who had everything taken from him... His wealth, hus children, his health. Through it all he remained faithful to God and praised Him! Our pastor reminded us that we should hold gently to the things of this world. Our money, our friends, our family... All things of this world are going to fall away. The only thing to cling to and hold tight to is Christ!! Nothing else matters eternally!! Needless to say my sadness over things of this world is gone and today I am feeling the Joy!!

Hannah Elizabeth Stidham

2 months old October 2003
David and I married in June of 2002.  In July 2003 Hannah was born.  She was 5 weeks early so she weighed in at 4 pounds 9 ounces.  She was so tiny and yet so beautiful.  She will be 8 this summer and oh how she has changed our lives....  She now weighs in at just under 30 pounds and is about 3 feet tall.  She has an amazing sense of humor, is very strong willed, has a dazzling smile and oh, did I mention Down syndrome?!?

July 2004
She is currently taking a hip hop class at Break the Barriers thanks to Grandma Bev and Grandpa Bill .  She is quite a dancer!  She is often 1 step ahead or 1 step behind but by golly the steps are right! Remember the sense of humor I mentioned?  Well that sense of humor is one of the reasons that this blog was started.  She is so funny that I often find myself about to pee my pants...  This story did go out on facebook but it is worth mentioning again....

One evening at dinner Hannah was saying something as she is always talking!  I couldn't quite understand her so I asked her to repeat herself.  This is what she said... "I am talking to Sheldon on my facebook!" I asked; "who is Sheldon?"  To which she replied ever so seriously.... "My husband"  Well, you can imagine my shock since I wasn't invited to the wedding.  It took us several days to figure out who Sheldon was... we even enlisted the help of her IEP team after her most recent IEP meeting.  Come to find out it is Dr. Sheldon Cooper from The Big Bang Theory on CBS... At least she likes the brainy ones!!
